A biography of the Rev. Ebenezer Hibbard Baldwin was recently posted on the Erie Co. PA biographies list. He married Clarissa A. Platt on 12 February 1862. They had five children: Cheney L; Thirza M., who married Charles M. Freligh; Attie May; Ivy M.; and Archie R. Clarissa died 15 March 1879. - From Samuel B. Jackie Carll, e-mail phc @cybertours.com,is looking for Sanford Platt who m. Clarissa Bartram in Redding, CT on 7 December 1826. He d. Fortress Monroe, VA on 8 September 1864, bur. Hampton National Cemetery. 7 children. Does anyone know Sanford's connection? Has anyone sorted out the Redding Platts?
The following was posted on Steuben County (NY) Biographies on Rootsweb: "Chester Faulkner Platt, age 20, 1st marriage, farmer of Erwin, bp same, s/o F. C. Platt and Jennie Faulkner, bp. US, married Ida Elizabeth Brown, age 18, w, 1st marriage, nurse of Painted Post, bp. Hornell, d/o W. E. Brown, bp US and Velma Mercorean?, bp. US. Albert O. Caldwed, clergyman performed the ceremony on 10 May 1919 with Leon W. Snearly and Esther B. Snearly as witnesses." Does anyone know who Chester Faulkner Platt was?
A posting on Rutland Co, VT Queries forum on Rootsweb contained a reference to Harriet Tuttle, dtr of Nathaniel Tuttle and Polly Gould Platt. Harriet was born 20 April 1808 and married Abijah Mansfield on 25 May 1828. Does anyone know who Polly Gould Platt was?
