Mary DAVID probably met and married William TREHARNE in Bendigo, Victoria as their respective fathers were seeking gold in the Victorian goldfields.
William TREHARNE went to Bendigo, Victoria gold mining - he may have met Mary DAVID and married in Bendigo, Victoria - thence went to Newcastle, NSW for coal mining during the 1890's depresssion - he also went to Coolgardie, Western Australia gold mining - travelled back and forth to Wollongong regularly.
He was a magnificent singer - sang at eisteddfods in Newcastle but was banned due to the fact that he always won - thence took up teaching singing and his students nearly always won.
