HENRY PITT O"HARA - March 15, 1943
Henry Pitt O'Hara was born at Little Rock, Arkansas January 31, 1870. He died March 15, 1943 at the Larned Hospital following an illness of several months. He came to Partridge community with his parents, H. C. O'Hara and Durilla Loretta Dilley at age of three years. On March 11, 1897 he and Sarah Permelia Love were united in marrage and for 46 years lived a happy, devoted life together. To this union were born five children, all lived near Partridge: Carl, Leroy, William and Earl O'Hara and Mrs. Margaret Walters. His wife, children and 13 grandchildren mourn his passing. Mr. O'Hara was a kind and devoted husband and father, a man of sterling charsctor and highly respected by his fellow citizens. He was an active officer in the community church and seldom failed in attendance at the services. As stated by his pastor, he was rich in the heritage of the family name, a home and family man, a good citizen and a good church man. Funeral services were at the Community Church Saturday afternoon conducted by Dr. Frank G. Richard. Music selections were sung by a mixed quartet; Mrs. Frances Hamilton, Edna Anderson, Lyle Anderson and Nelson Smith, accompanied by Mrs. Lyle Anderson. Pall bearers were William B. Hawkins and Claude Puckett of Hutchinson, Harold Rexroad, Josh Puckett, R. Gresham, Ross McCoy. The profusion of beautiful flowers testified to the high esteem in which Mr. O'Hara was held be friend. Funeral service for Henry Pitt O'Hara of Partridge, who died Monday, will be at the Partridge Community Church at 2 p.m. Saturday. Dr. Frank Richard, pastor of the church, will be in charge. Burial will be in the Partridge Cemetery.
