Sour Cream Coffee Cake

1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoon, butter |
1 cup sugar |

2 eggs |
2 cups flour |
|
1 teaspoon soda |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
|
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 cup dairy sour cream |
|
1/2 cup water |
1 teaspoon vanila |
|
1/4 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup white sugar |
|
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 cup nuts |
Combine topping ingredients; set aside. Cream the suger and the butter. Add eggs; beat well. Sift dry ingredients, and combine liquid ingredients. Put half of the batter in a 9- by 12-inch pan. Sprinkle half the crumb mixture over it. Add remaining batter. Top with remaining crumb topping. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
