Before you write a query or leave a message on a message board, you should read the short article on how to write a proper one. Many persons do not receive an answer simply because they do not use the correct form and provide sufficient information. This link will take you there.  How to Use and Write Queries

Ancestry Message Boards  Before using these message boards you should go to the bottom of the page and use the links found there to acquaint yourself with the rules, frequently ask questions and help. Not all message boards are the same.

Family Tree Maker's Message Boards  This link takes you a page that explains what is and is not to be found on these message boards. Remember that not all message boards are the same. On the page are links to  two different message boards -- the GenForum message boards and the FamilyTreeMaker message Boards as found in their Family Finder.

RootsWeb Message Boards  Before using these message boards you should use the links found there to acquaint yourself with the rules, frequently ask questions and help. Not all message boards are the same.

USGen Web Project  Most of the information on the USGENWEB Project is to be found in the various states, therefore on the first page you should choose the state of you interest. Each state has its own GENWEB, but somewhere on the state home page there should be a link to queries and/or message boards. Be aware that different states may require a different format.
