Beeler Funeral Set Friday At Baptist Church

Funeral Services for Eli Beeler, 91, a retired engineer for Southern Railway, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at New Pleasant Gap Baptist Church.

Mr. Beeler, of Corryton, died Tuesday night at St. Mary's Hospital. He was a member of New Pleasant Gap Baptist Church. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. J.D. DeMarcus, Belleville, Ill., Mrs. S.L. Irick and Opal Beeler, both of Corryton; two brothers, Harvey and Harrison Beeler, both of Knoxville; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Rev. Walter Fraker will officiate at the services, and interment will be Lynnhurst Cemetery.

John Beeler, age 84, formerly of Speedwell, died Thursday at the home of his daughter in Knoxville. Survivors: daughter, Mrs. James Easterday, Knoxville; grandchildren, Oda C. Ford, Munche, S.C., Everett Ford, Bill Easterday, Clyde Easterday, (should read Kyle Ray Easterday) Knoxville; brothers, Harrison Beeler, Lima, Ohio, Eli and Harve Beeler, Knoxville, Press Beeler, Wiliam Beeler, Middlesboro, Ky. Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m., at Piney Crove Baptist Church, the Rev. Bill Romines officiating. Burial in Hill Cemetery, Speedwell. Pallbearers: Austin Collins, William Qualls, Raymond Keck, Dan Duckins, Raymond Easterday and Frankie Easterday.

She is survived by her husband, John Beeler, Speedwell; daughters, Mrs. Charlie Carr, New Tazewell, Mrs. Kermit Yoakum, Lone Mountain, Mrs. Johnnie Partin, Fork Ridge, Mrs. Monroe Hensley, Knoxville, Mrs. Myrtle Ford, Knoxville, Mrs. Jim Easterday, Knoxville, brothers, Ruben and George Epperson, Tazewell and Durbin Epperson, Cornia, Ohio; sisters, Mrs. Hattie Wolfenbarger, New Tazewell, Mrs. Dollie Harrell, Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Thurman Smith, Mrs. Roy Poore, Monroe Mich.; l9 grandchildren and 6 grcat grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 10 a.m. at the Piney Grove Church with the Rev. Fern D. Robinson and Rev. Joe Monroe Hensley officiating.

Burial was in the Hill Cemetery.
