John Stuart Pickles

  General Notes:

He started his working life as a woolcomber in Bradford (Trainee Manager at Thomas Henry Shaws, Wapping, Bradford). He emigrated to New Zealand in 1974 where he carried on his work as a woolcomber (Foreman, Feltex Yarns, Kakariki.) He then worked as a Training Consultant for the NZ Public Service (Industrial Training Service, Department of Labour, Government Computing Service) . He returned to Bradford from New Zealand in 1990 where he continues to work in Computer Training and Graphics Design.

John married Frances Gough, daughter of Charles Edward Gough and Lilian Maud Tudor, on 15 Jun 1968 in Bradford, England. (Frances Gough was born on 21 Nov 1949 in 23 Rushton Terrace, Bradford and was christened on 18 Dec 1949 in St Peters, Leeds Road, Bradford.)
