In King George County Court, September 34d 1840. It is ordered to be certified that James Marshall, late of this County, a midshipman in the Army of the Revolution, died Intestate in the said County some time after the close of the Revolutionary War, say about the year...., leavng a Widow, by whom he had no issue, and two brothers; John and Richard and three sisters namely; Joannah,Nancy and Elizabeth. John left the county of King George and went to King and Queen many years ago unmarried, and is believed to be dead; Richard married Anna Ross  both of whom are dead Intestate leaving one child named Frances; Joanna married Thomas King by whom he [sic] had one child named Richard Henry -- the said Richard Henry King died Intestate leaving a widow named Mary and the following children namely Edwin, Ugenia, Joanna, James and Norvel. Nancy Marshall married William Rollins both of whom died Intestate leaving three children namely; Sally Rollins [who died without issue] Lucy Rollins, and Nancy Rollins. Lucy Rollins married Robert Crismond, both of whom are dead intestate leaving two children namely; Sally and Catherine who are alive. Sally married Gabriel Levi. Catherine married James Henry Stephens. Nancy Rollins married Bennet Crismond both of whom died Intestate leaving four children namely Robert M. Crismond, Wm. W.M. Crismond, Elizabeth Crismond and Suckey Crismond, Elizabeth Crismond intermarried with Thomas Crismond. Suckey not married. Elizabeth married William Trigger both of whom are dead Intestate leaving no issue. It therefore appears that the above named person are the only heirs of James Marsahll, dec'd., to wit; Frances Marshall only child of Richard Marshall; Edwin, Ugenia, Joanna, James and Norvel King, children of Richard Henry King; Sally Levi and Catherine Stephens, children of Lucy Crismond wife of Robert Crismond; Robert M. Crismond, William W. M. Crismond, Elizabeth Crismond and Suckey Crismond, children of Bennett Crismond and Nancy his wife.

PATTON, February 13, 1845, Marengo County, Alabama; b. 1814, Alabama.  An affadavit dated Septermber 1853 from Sumter County, Alabama reads; 'Know all men by these presents, that we Alexander O. Patton and Frances, his wife, who was Frances Marshall of the county of Sumter in the state of Alabama, do hereby make, constitute and appoint S.J.S. Brown of the County of King George our true and lawful attorney. [Witnessed by Robt A. Tarry and Edwin Williamson.

13.  SALLY4 CRISMOND was born Abt. 1800 in Virginia.  She married GABRIEL LEVI November 16, 1824 in King George County, Virginia.  He was born 1800 in Virginia.
                
                In June of 1853 Bernard Cole made affadavit that Sally Levi, late of the town of Fredericksburg, died in the said town in March of 1846, intestate, leaving two children namely  John and Henry Levi, the former who is living and the latter who died in July 1850 leaving one child; William Thomas Levi who is now living and is an infant under twenty one years of age.
Children of SALLY CRISMOND and GABRIEL LEVI are:
    i.    JOHN5 LEVI, b. Abt. 1830, Virginia; m. CATHERINE; b. Abt. 1832.
        In July of 1853 John Levi made affidavit in Fredericksburg, Virginia and stated he was one of two children left by Sally Levi, who was a daughter of Lucy Crismond; who was Lucy rollins, who was a daughter of Nancy Marshall, who was a sister of James Marshall.

14.  CATHERINE4 CRISMOND  died 1841.  She married JAMES HENRY STEPHENS.  He was born 1800 in Virginia.

                June 9th 1853 John Levi and Benjamin Eskridge made affadavit that Catherine Stephens, late of the County of King George died in the said county, in the year 1841 or 1842, intestate, leaving two children, namely Ellen Powell, the widow of Richard Powell, deceased and Sidney Stephens, now an infant under twenty one years of age.

    i.    ELLEN5 STEPHENS, b. 1824, Virginia; m. RICHARD POWELL; b. 1817, Virginia.
        Married Richard Powell; known son William Powell born about 1838. July of 1853 Ellen Crismond Powell made affadavit she was one of the children of Catharine Stephens deceased of the town of Fredericksburg.

        On September 20th 1853 Geo F. Chew, representative of Ellen Powell wrote; " With regard to Ellen Powell I claim the right to draw her scrip also, under her Power of Attorney to me.  She left this place some two or three weeks since, to avoid being arrested for an infringement of our laws against tipling houses and promised to apprise me of her whereabouts, but has failed to do so --

15.  WILLIAM W. M.4 CRISMOND was born Abt. 1813 in Virginia.  He married REBECCA.  She was born 1826.
