MY LANE FAMILY
|
Although, according to the IGI, one of the earliest recordings of the Lane surname in Cornwall was that of William Layne, the son of James, who was christened on 13 MAR 1573 in Menheniot, after nearly six years of research I have found out that my ancestors originated from Clawton in Devon. Not that strange I guess when the surname appears predominately in the east of the County of Cornwall. |
