22. Jonathan, Jr PETERSON2,6,7,22 was born on 20 September 1706 in Duxbury, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. He died on 5 May 1765 in Duxbury, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. He was buried in May 1765 in Old Cemetery (Standish), South Duxbury, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. Records indicate he is buried in Standish and Old Cemeteries of South Duxbury leading writer to believe they are the same with alternate names. The Mayflower Descendants has this marriage as being in Pembroke.
From the The American Family of Delano: "Jan 16-1734 at a town meeting it was voted that Philip Delano and James Arnold be appointed a committee to procure a school master, and they obtained Jonathan Peterson Jr." This is also documented in the History of Duxbury, Massachusetts.
His will mentions his wife Jael and children John, Jonathan, Lurania, David, Turner, and unborn child.
Warren Weston, a first cousin once removed of Jonathan's, wrote a diary which is still available in 2004. The following were entries relating to Jonathan: Tuesday, 23 April 1765, "the Barn belonging to Jonathan peterson ketcht a fire & Burnt up." Sunday, 5 May 1765, "Jonathan Peterson Died." Tuesday, 7 May 1765, "I was at the funrel of Jonathan Peterson."
The Peterson Family of Duxbury, Massachusetts records, "In his will he mentions his wife Jael and Children, John, Jonathan, David, Lurania, and also an unborn child, who, if born alive, has not yet been identified. In a deed of 15 Jan. 1779 Jael, his widow, is styled of Brookfield, Mass., the town in which her son Turner lived. Children (Writer note: John, Jonathan, David b. 1749/50 d. 27 Aug 1751), Lurania, David b. 1757, Turner) were born at Duxbury (town, church, and cemetery records)."
The Mayflower Families Through Five Generations, Volume Three records, "Jonathan's will dated 30 April 1765, proved 21 May 1765 names wife Jael, eldest son John, sons Jonathan, David and Turner, daughter Lurania and "child yet unborn". His widow Jael, Judah Delano and Levi Loring were appointed guardians of Jonathan, John, Lurania, David and Turner. The division of the estate among the five children named in the will was approved 3 June 1765. The widow, Jael, was of Ware in 1782 and on 9 March 1784 with her son Turner and his wife sold land in Brookfield. "

Jael (Jane) DILLINGHAM2,3 died after 9 March 1784 in Brookfield, Worcester County, Massachusetts. She was born in Pembroke, Plymouth County, Massachussetts. In a deed of 15 Jan 1779, Jael is living in Brookfield, Massachusetts the town where her son Turner lived.

David PETERSON7 was born on 10 January 1750 in Duxbury, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. He died on 27 August 1751 in Duxbury, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. He was buried in Old Cemetery (Standish), South Duxbury, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. The Peterson Family of Duxbury, Massachusetts has David's birth in 1749/50 and death as 27 Aug 1751; aged 1 year, 7 months, 17 days where as the Mayflower Families Through Five Generations, Volume 3 has David's birth as 27 Aug 1751, death as infant.

David PETERSON2 was born in 1756/7. Baptized 24 July 1757 and probably died unmarried. He was a soldier of the Revolution, attaining the rank of lieutenant and of captain lieutenant.
