"From Early Massachusetts Marriages Prior to 1800 by Frederick W. Bailey, Middleborough, Massachusetts," the date is 4 April 1765 and it indicates she is from Scituate, Rhode Island. This same entry is in Baily's Douglas, Massachusetts listing.

Patience PETERSON and Nathan BENNETT were married on 27 October 1764 in Scituate, Providence County, Rhode Island. Nathan BENNETT³ was born on 14 June 1742 in Middleboro (Four Corners, Namasket, Middleborough), Plymouth County, Massachusetts. He died on 25 October 1797 in Middleboro (Four Corners, Namasket, Middleborough), Plymouth County, Massachusetts. He was a descendant of Pilgrims John Alden and John Howland.
