FLW shows the descendants of Sir. Richard de Prestcote up to James Prescott who married Alice Elizabeth Standish but does not give any sources. He describes the origins of the family in Lancashire and does not seem to be aware of the association of Prestcote and the manor in Devon of that name. AP
