Probably born after 1799 be/c she's not in the york cty book, but we know her parent's church.

Buried at Immanuel Lutheran Church, where Mathias Bollinger family were members.

Manchester Immanuel Lutheran Church burial record no. 14 says: Mary Grim, widow of Jacob Grim, died 1 Jul 1862 aged 64 years 2 mos 29 days. Had a will.

Witnesses to this birth: grandparents (?) Philip and Barbara Grim.

He was a farmer, born in PA, 800 real estate 100 personal in 1860. William Grim's death certificate names these parents and they mark the last generation I'm sure of.

Found in 1850 census 60 yrs old with wife Polly 55 yrs old, Betsy 22, Wm 18, Ggeorge 14, Daniel 7, and in-laws Mathies and Elizabeth Bolinger

He married Isadora Wilson October 21, 1855 in St Matthew's, Hanover, York, PA, daughter of Michael Wilson and Annamaria Fultz.

1861: William purchased land called Gotham! March 1861, placed a mortgage on it, and lost it for lack of payment on 5 March 1864

Moved to Pennsylvania during the Civil War. Moved to Baltimore County after the war.

In 1891 lived in Upperco. In 1892 called it Arcadia.

on December 22 1899 came William Morfoot age 45 of Trenton and Jesse S. Fishpaw age 22 of Trenton.

William Morfoot follow the occupation of stone mason and plasterer and live two miles from claimant and see him every few days. I have emplyed him off and on for several years and he suffered greatly from piles and hemorage oftentimes had to stop working on account and in my opinion he cannot make more than half time at work... I have worked with him his disabilities is not due to vicious habits.

I Jesse S Fishpaw am a day laborer and live next door to claimant and see him nearly every day. I have worked for him and know him to be suffering from piles and hemorage ...

dumb ague, malarial poisoning, and he was accidentally shot in the left hand.

Informant on his death certificate is Isadora and his parents are given

In 1920 census Balt county Isadora was living with her daughter age 61 (right age for Anna Mary) and her husband Samuel Tracy and their family.

Her death certificate names her parents, Michael Wilson and Poly Fultz

C. V. Tipton and son directed the funeral. Their records have been taken over by Eline Funeral Home, 934 So. Main Street, Hampstead MD 21704, 410-239-8163. She is buried at Christ Lutheran Church at Trenton MD, also there is a John Wesley Grim 1885-1961

From the Hanover Spectator, Friday Oct 26, 1855:

"MARRIED: On the 21st inst., by the Rev. D. P. Rosenmiller, Mr. William Grimm to Miss Isadora Wilson, both of Carroll County, MD"

Married Oct 21 1855 St Matthew's, Penn Tp, Hanover Borough

He was a horsetrader - once went out with a buggy and horse and came back with just a saddle. Had the three wives and other "live-ins." One a gypsy who smoked a clay pipe (possibly Irish? a tinker?) and one possibly a Native American.

In 1900 census described as carpenter

In 1920 census, Carroll County, described as blacksmith. So he did not die between 1910-1912 as estimated...

in 1880 a grandson Alban was living in Wm Grim home



49 iv. William Nicholas Grim, born January 29, 1865 in Hanover, PA; died 1941. He married Josephine Brenneman 1885.

50 v. Michael J. Grim, born December 24, 1865 in PA; died 1936 in Carroll County MD. He married Annie B. [Grim].

This family lives Carroll County District 8 Hamstead at time of 1900 census. All kids were born in Maryland. This is where the Hamstead Inn was.

1880 Balt. census says he was born in MD but 1870 York census says he was born in PA
