I found my connection to the family on the Brockway mailing list hosted by Rootsweb. Colleen Knights is assembling a huge Wolston Brockway descendancy. Thanks to Walter Brockway for knowing my Judith Brockway was the daughter of Martin! This branch left New York and settled in Marion (now Morrow) county Ohio. Martin owned a tavern there.

Jonathan's parents were Ephraim and Susanna (Carrier) Brockway

Ephraim Brockway was b. at Lyme Conn. 4 April 1703; married there 7 Feb. 1726-27, with Susanna Carrier. He was living at Lyme, 21 Jan. 1734-35, when he joined his brohers and sisters in selling to Samuel Selden, some land at Fishing Cove, in Lyme.

Ephraim was the son of Wolston and Margaret Brockway.

Wolston(2) Brockway b. at Lyme Conn., 7 Feb 1667-68; married there 4 Dec 1688, with Margaret ---. He died early in 1707. The estate was distributed 1713-14

Wolston(2) was the son of Wolston(1) Brockway and Hannah Briggs

Wolston(1) Brockway was born in England about 1638. He died before 11 Nov 1717 when hsi son Richard was granted administration of his estate.

His wife Hannah Briggs was the widow of John Harris of Boston. She was born in Boston 28 Aug 1642 dau. of William and Mary Briggs. She d. 6 Feb 1687-88

"Parly Rensalier Cady was born in Reading, Windsor County, Vermont, Aug 4 1815 ... Mrs. Sophrona P. Grandy was born at Stockholm, St. Lawrence County, NY Sept 11 1818. They were married Jan 4, 1887, and they, in company with Benjamin Grandy, father of Mrs. P. R. Cady, and William Grandy, father of Mrs. Lucinda Willits, and Martin Brockway and several other families that have long since passed away, left the state of New York in May, 1837, and after twent-three days of travel by wagon arrived at what was then known as Delaware County, Ohio, but is now the site of Cardington ... this then only being known to them as the wilderness of the far west."

After many years of searching you may have the key I've been looking for as I believe EMILY BROCKWAY, b. February 06, 1804, Washington, Cheshire, New Hampshire; m. ACASTUS WARREN, February 01, 1821, was married to our gggrandfather Acastus.

I've been searching all along for Erastus which I got off the census. Do you know the names of any of their children and I could be sure as I have that information. Regards Deanna Warren
