Pepper DNA Project

Elijah Pepper was born between 1819 and 1825 in Mississippi according to census records. From 1850 to 1860 he moved from Mississippi to Louisiana and then to Arkansas. From 1860 to 1890 he remained in Arkansas with his last known location being in Clark County, Antoine Township, Arkansas. He owned 40 acres of land. Elijah had 2 known wives. The first was Louisa, last name unknown. Sometime between 1850 and 1860 he married Mary White. While DNA testing has shown that he is related to the Samuel Pepper line, Lineage 4, no paper trail link has been established.
