She was born 29 Nov 1876 in Wilson County, TN, and died 16 Sep 1960 in Nashville, TN. Both are buried in Spring Hill Cemetery, Nashville, TN.

In 1901 his residence was Indiana with the birth of his first son. George R.
In 1903 to his death in 1932, his residence was Nashville, TN. Census records from 1910, 1920 and 1930 state Nashville Ward 21, Davidson, Tennessee. He has not been located in any Census prior to 1910.
He worked for L&N Railroad, Nashville, TN as a Mill Wright.
Travis Pepper Jr. has pens from Confederate Meetings held in Nashville, TN. that John Fredrick and R.R. Jarrell attended annually. R.R. Jarrell (his father-in-law) was in the TN Infantry during the Civil War. We have not found any military records on John F Pepper.
The Census Records also stated John F. Pepper's Father and Mother were from Germany. But, their names were not listed and remain unknown today.
In 1979, a conversation with Katherine Pepper Huffman was held about the Pepper Family, she described her Father and Mother, John and Callie Pepper. She was asked about her Grandfather although she did not know his name, she stated that he died by drowning in the Ohio River in Union Town, KY. She thought he owned a lot of property that was somehow taken from the family by the state of Kentucky after his death. She said that he was the only member of the family that could speak English. The rest could only speak German. We have no records of his death, but assume it was around 1880.
Katherine Pepper Huffman said her grandfather had 2 sons, John F. and a younger brother whose name she thought was George. We have one photograph taken of the two brothers in the late 1920s.
In 1937 most all Uniontown records were destroyed by flood. What records we have found did show Pepper and Pfeffer as land owners. However, we could not establish ties to our family.
The closest potential records that we have found are from the 1870 Census in Vanderburgh County, Indiana. (Across the river from Uniontown) We did find a Fred and Mary Peffer. Both from Hessen-Darmstadt, Germany. They had two sons, John b. abt. 1868 and George b.abt.1870.
