Albert Pepper
Albert Pepper was born in Green County, Kentucky approx. 1830. In the 1860 census records he is listed as 30 years of age. He married Mary M. Ford on 22 June 1855 in Green County, Kentucky. He worked as a farmer. On 1 Sept. 1862 Albert enlisted as a Union soldier in the Civil War. He was a private in Company D Regiment 33 of the Kentucky Volunteers. This regiment eventually joined with the Company K Regiment 26 commanded by Col. Maxwell. While serving in the war, he contracted the measles and on 29 Nov. 1864 died in a military hospital in Bowling Green, Ky. He left a wife and three children, a daughter Arretta, son Aylett, and son Albert Jr.
