According to my sister, Wanda Ketelhut:
"...they started this whole family!! Here is a brief rundown on them: Gerret Vanswearingen was born in 1636 in Reensterdwan, Holland, and died 1698 in St. Mary's. He married (1) Barbarah DeBarrette 1659 in New Amstel, Holland. She was born in CVallenciennes, France, and died 1670 in St. Mary's.
Children of Gerret and Barbarah are:
Thomas Vanswearingen b abt. 1665. Elizabeth Vanswearingen b abt. 1661. Zaggaruas VanSwearingen b abt. 1662. Garrott VanSwearingen b Unknown. & Maria Van Swearingen b Unknown.
Our descendants appeared on the scene in the 7th Generation, whereas
James Swearengen married Isabel Lambert and gave birth to their daughter Nancy Ann Swearingen. James Swearengen and his family are on the 1850 Census, German Twp., Clark County, OH."
