MATHAN'S DESCENDANTS
Last revised 26 Oct 2002

Sources - Th list below was derived from Jewish theology, Protestant theology, Catholic theology, early Church Fathers, Apocryphal writings and Secular and Atheist and Historian sources on the Internet.  It was a composite of them all, but the composite here probably wouldn’t be accepted in total by any of them in particular. After 2000 years of studies and debate, there is no complete agreement among the different factions. But if one chops off as many as half of the Saints below, the remaining portion alone would still establish that Mathan’s great grandson Jesus Christ’s relatives virtually brought in Christianity at the 1st Coming.

1st Coming - Mayme Alice Mitchell Peck’s direct genetic line passes through St. Joseph of Aramathea and his father Mathan. (as also did Jesus Biblical linage in Mt 1 & Lk 3.) Various ancient information when combined, though unprovable in total, clearly suggests that Mathan’s children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the prime movers in the founding of Christianity of the 1st Coming on planet earth, as follows:

Mathan’s Children

• St. Joseph of Aramathea – was the predicted rich man who furnished a tomb for Jesus. He took down Jesus bloody body from the cross, carried it to his own tomb (the “empty tomb” in Jerusalem), furnished the burial shroud (possibly the “Shroud of Turin”), and the face napkin (Oviedo Napkin now in northern Spain), and rolled the large stone across the entrance. He is reputed to have taken Mary Magdalen and other Christians in a boat to first France, then to Gastonbury, Great Britain where he allegedly founded a Christian church there in 37 AD (before the St. Peter church in Rome.)  Legend has it he brought with him the “Holy Grail” cup of the Jesus Last Supper (now a symbolic centerpiece event in every Catholic Mass.) [He was predicted in the Isaiah 53:9 Prophecy.]

• Jacob – the genetic father of St. Joseph married widow of Mr. Heli.

• Mary - Mary, the oldest daughter, married a man of Bethlehem and was the mother of Salome; (per Nicephor., II, iii)

• Soba, - Soba married at Bethlehem, a "son of Levi", by whom she had [St.] Elizabeth; (per Nicephor., II, iii)

• 5. St. Ann.  - Ann married a Galilean (Joachim) and bore St. Mary, the Mother of God.”   - (per Nicephor., II, iii)
