Carl W. Pavey, 59, of Pinellas Park, Fla., passed away Thursday, April 3, 2008 in St. Petersburg, Fla. He was born July 3, 1948 in Hillsdale, MI to Robert and Louise (Spence) Pavey, they survive in Jonesville, MI.

Carl was a C & C machine programmer, a graduate of Hillsdale High School and had resided in Chicago and Florida. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam era and was a member of the VFW.

Surviving besides his parents, Bob and Louise of Jonesville are two daughters, Catherine (Jason) Preuss of Portage and Kelly Pavey of Kalamazoo, MI two grandchildren, Deidra Preuss and Sadie Aumack; two sisters, Sandy (Jerry) Bigelow of Jonesville, MI and Connie (Khodr) Hadba of Beirut, Lebanon. He was preceded in death by his brother Donald in 2006.

Funeral services be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2008 at the Eagle Funeral Home in Jonesville with Minister Terry Stoddard officiating. Interment will take place at Sunset View Cemetery in Jonesville. The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday from 6�8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sue (Pavey) Fellmy, 67, North Port, FL, formerly of Lebanon, IN died Friday, July 4, 2008, at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte, Fla.

Mrs. Fellmy was born in Lebanon, on Aug. 7, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Richard O. Pavey and Mary Jean (Watson) Pavey Logan. A resident of Lebanon most of her life, she lived some time in Florida.

She married Charles T. Fellmy Jr. on July 28, 1985, in Lebanon. Mr. Fellmy survives.

Mrs. Fellmy worked in several positions, including waitress and a secretary in a real estate firm in Florida. A devoted homemaker and mother, she loved her family and was particularly fond of her grandchildren. She enjoyed dancing, cooking and communicating with friends on the Internet. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lebanon.

Survivors include her husband, who resides in North Port; children, Lisa Everman and fianc�, Barry Railer, of Sheridan, Jennifer Sue Dodane and companion, Jason Berry, of North Port, and C. Keith Fellmy of North Fort Myers, Fla.; one brother, Jan D. Pavey and wife, Gadus, of Gonzales, La.; and five grandchildren, Arika Mullis of Evansville, Rachel Mullis of Sheridan, Cody Pierson of Sheridan, Zachary Dotas of Lafayette and Krista Dotas of North Port.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Funeral services are to be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Myers Chapel of Memories, with the Rev. Marsha E. Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon, IN

TSgt. George R. Peavy, 71, of Port Lavaca died Tuesday, August 30, 2011. He was born September 12, 1939 in Jacksonville, FL to the late George L. Peavy and Evelyn Walters Peavy.

He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1977 and was a Local Mechanic for the last 20 years.

Shirley R. Peavy, 74, went to be with the Lord on Saturday March 27, 2010.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Fellowship Baptist Church in Madison, Fla., with interment at Hickory Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Beggs Funeral Home in Madison, Fla.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Madison County Memorial Hospital, Shirley Peavy Memorial Fund, 309 N.E. Marion St., Madison, FL 32340.

She was born in Ware County, Ga. to Cecil and Thelma Roberts. She graduated from Asheville School of Medical Technology and came to Madison to work at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in 1956. She was a charter member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed being with her family and friends. She was a bridge and bingo player and liked to fish and cook.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Lamar Roberts; a cousin, Fred Strickland; and a son-in-law, Terry Smith.

She is survived by a daughter, Pam Peavy Smith of Panama City Beach, Fla.; two sons, Robin Peavy and wife Lei of Huntsville and Opie Peavy and wife Paige of Madison, Fla.; a brother, Bob Roberts and wife Jake of Waycross Ga.; cousin, Hoyt Strickland Sr. and wife Barbara of St. Petersburg, Fla.; six grandchildren, Daniel Barrs, Whitney Barrs, Lane Peavy, Levi Peavy, Joy Peavy and J. D. Peavy; and longtime friend Jeane McDaniel.

Alice (Peavey) Edwards Roth, 71, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008 in Orlando, FL. She was born Oct. 8, 1937, in Chicago, IL to Genevieve Storfer Peavey and Roy E. Peavey, she grew up and in the western suburbs of Chicago until their family settled in Barrington, IL.

Alice was raised with a love for animals which is forever present throughout her life. Alice had a successful business with her husband of 27 years, Dan Roth as a professional dog handler, breeding Standard Poodles, Yorkshire Terriers; while owning Stonewall Kennels in Downers Grove, IL. Alice remained very involved with her love of animals and family as she continued to support Barrington Flynn Valley 4-H Club, and the Illinois Dairy Goat Association. She later changed careers when she went into real estate in 1977 with her dearest friend Lydia T. Franz. Her family moved back to Barrington where she was very active in local, state, and national REALTOR� Associations. She served on the GRI Board of Directors of the Illinois and National Associations of REALTORS�. She also served on many REALTOR� committees including the Graduate REALTOR� Institue Baord of Governors. Alice served as President of the Barrington Board of REALTORS� in 1989. In 1995, Alice was awarded the honor as Realtor� of The Year for the Illinois Association of REALTORS�. Alice was a huge catalyst and early organizer of reciprocity among the various Multiple Listing Services throughout the Chicago area, which ultimately lead to the establishment of the country's largest Multiple Listing Service, which serves the greater Chicago metropolitan area today.

Alice was a member of American Mensa, an avid reader, and had a love of puzzles, games, playing cards, technology, traveling, and anything Disney. In 2006, Alice decided to live her life long dream to work for the Disney Corporation. Alice moved down to Orlando where she worked for the Carribean Beach Resort as a concierge where she shared her incredible passion and enthusiasm for Disney with her colleagues and guests. Alice was extremely happy with her life in Florida.

Loving mother of daughters Gene Helen Roth Benson and Katherine Roth Double; beloved sisters Judith Bankus Cooper, Valerie York, Denise "Bunny" McDermott; and devoted grandmother of Alexander Double and Meghan Double. She was a loving aunt and great aunt to her nieces Marcella Bankus and her children; Russell, Matthew, and Nicholas, Laurie Gottschalk and her children Cassandra and Stephanie and Margaret, John, and Grace McDermott. Alice was predeceased by her parents Roy E. Peavey and Genevieve Storfer Peavey, husbands Frank Edwards, Daniel H. Roth and longtime friend and business partner Lydia T. Franz.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 21, at Makray Memorial Golf Club, 1010 S. Northwest Hwy., Barrington, IL at 11:00 a.m.

Age 73, of Longwood FL passed away November 21, 2006.

He was born in Helen, GA to Andrew Lewis and Mary Mae (Robinson) Peavey. He was a Line Superintendent with Florida Power.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda; sons, Steven W. (Laura) of Apopka and Mitchell A.(Karen) of Longwood; his grandchildren, Alexander, Brianna, Kristen, Austin and Sheri Hibdon (Greg); great granddaughter, Kiley Hibdon; brother, Charlie(Diana) of Longwood.

Funera lservices will be conducted Monday, November 27th at 10 AM at the Ocoee OaksChurch with Pastor Ernie Post officiating. Interment will follow at WinterGarden Cemetery.

Brenda Peavey Purcell of Lake Wales FL passed away Monday, Aug. 2, 2010, at Winter Haven Hospital. She was 52.

She was born Jan. 18, 1958, in Meriden, CT; and moved to Lake Wales from Sarasota in 2003. She was a businesswoman who owned operated Country Lane Deli in East Haddam, Conn., and Papa Joe�s Deli in Sarasota. She was very artistic, and active in Polk County Fellowship Dining program. Brenda was very good at sensing the need of others, and filling that need.

Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Daniel W. Peavey Jr. Survivors include her sons, Patrick Michael Purcell of Lake Wales and Ryan James Purcell of Lake Wales; her mother, Eleanor Peavey of Lake Wales; her brothers, Michael (Betty) Peavey of Shapleigh, Maine, Stephen (Teresa) Peavey of Wallingford, Conn.; five nieces and nephews; and six grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 6, 2010, at Episcopal Church of The Good Shepherd, Lake Wales. Dallas M. Peavey, Sr., age 73, passed away on May 22, 2008 of Belleview. He was a proud Army Veteran of Vietnam and Korea.

He is the son of the late Ernest and Ruby Peavey; husband of Elaine Peavey; father of Cody Huennekens, Kathy (Donald) Kilpatrick, Sharon (Jon), Buddy "Dallas" Jr., Jerry (Nora), and William Peavey. He is the grandfather of 15 and great-grandfather of 12, also the brother of Ernestine (Daniel) Grimes and the late Lucille Crooker, and Bo Peavey. He has many nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Dorothy Marie, age 70, of Orange Park, passed away Thursday, March 21, 1996. She was a native of San Francisco, CA, and lived most of her life in Orange Park and Peavey's Dairy in St. Augustine.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Emory Peavey Sr., mother Mattie Davis and son Ralph Emory Peavey, Jr.

Survivors include, 2 daughters, Gloria and Gail; 4 sons, James, Raymond, Bobby, Robert; sister, Edith Saleeba; brother, James Waring; 20 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, dear friend Emil Billitz.

She was a former resident of Madison, Ala., and employed with General Motors for more than 30 years. She joined her daughter and grandchildren in Florida in 2002. She was a devoted mother, mother-in-law and grandmother to Michele K. Hanshaw, Dr. Mark L. Hanshaw, Michael Lee Henderson and Bailey Loraine Peterson.

She is also survived by her brothers, Harold M. Peavey and Douglas J. Peavey, her sister-in-law, Rebecca A. peavey, and her nieces, Lynn D. Southgate and Anne C. Pravey. She is survived by many loving relatives and friends.

Mr. Harold Dennis (Pop) Peavey, Sr., 67, of Tampa went home to be with the Lord on April 4, 2005. He was at home surrounded by his wife, son, daughter, brother, and a host of family & friends.

He was a member & deacon of West Broad Street Baptist Church. Harold retired from 7-11 after 25 years of service. He then started his own business in 1986, Peavey Hosiery. Harold loved to sing Gospel Music and shared his beautiful voice at many area churches. He adored his family. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Irma; sons, Dennis (T), and Darren; daughter, Denise Peavey Chambers (Jeff); brother, Johnny Peavey (Shirly); grandsons, Travis and Dustin Chambers; granddaughter, Jennifer Harris; great granddaughter Autumn Harris; and numerous other family and friends.

His father was Harvey Watson Peavey (deceased) from Screven County, Georgia.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, April 7, 2005 at West Broad Street Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park. Harriet Jordan (Peavey) Beaulieu "Blondie", 92, died Monday June 28th 2010 at her home in Orlando. She was born May 27, 1918 in Garland, Maine, the daughter of George [Ivory] and Stella [Mae] [Perkins] Peavey. She was a Christian. Mrs. Beaulieu was retired from the harness horse racing industry and loved traveling with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Blondie was predeceased by two brothers, George [Ivory] Peavey of Boulder City, Nevada and Gilman [Henry] Peavey of Hermon, Maine. Blondie is survived by her husband Roland; daughter Alana "Kitty" Hutter (Robert), Apopka and step-daughter Sonia Taylor, Orlando; sisters Bertha Kirk (George), Orlando and Orrie Belle LeClerc, Tiburon, California; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at Carey Hand Cox-Parker Funeral Home in Winter Park, Florida on July 1, 2010. Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens, Apopka, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local humane society or any animal rescue group.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Marti Puckett Peavey; three children, Jessica Peavey Doherty, Joie Peavey Campbell and John "Trae" Peavey III; two grandsons, Jack and Jeremiah Campbell; his parents, Shirley and John Peavey Sr.; his sister, Sherry Peavey Calhoun; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Willie Mack Peavey Sr., 82, died Friday (June 4, 2004) at the V.A. Medical Center in Lake City, Fla. following an extended illness. He was a native of Douglas but had resided most of his life in Waycross. He was the son of the late Mattie Robbins Peavey Sweat.

He was retired owner of Tuffy's Drive-In and Lake Tuffy's. He was in charge of a crash boat outfit in Okinawa while serving in the U. S. Air Force and was a member of the V.F.W.

She was born on April 4, 1954, daughter of the late Roy (Bud) and Mary (Sweet) Peavey. Mary Jane attended Gloucester Public Schools and loved the Riverdale area where she had many wonderful memories.

Mary Jane was kind. big hearted and always had a smile on her face. She loved her family and friends and had a very special bond with her only granddaughter, Jenna, with whom she loved to shop, have tea parties and search for special rocks and gems. She also loved animals and rescued and adopted many throughout the years.

Mary Jane had many hobbies which included traveling throughout the country and abroad, gardening, shopping for antiques and watching her favorite movies with her sister Nancy.

In addition to her husband, Mary Jane is survived by her daughter, Nicole, wife of Steve Howard of Tennessee; her daughter, Amy, fiancee of Rich Kovarich of California; her grandchildren, Wade, Austin and Jenna of Tennessee and her new baby grandson Kyan of California. She is also survived by her brother, Roy (Barry) Peavey; sister, Deborah Conrad; brother, Robert Peavey husband of Amy (Pittenger); brother, Don Peavey husband of Leslie (Watson); sister, Nancy Peavey all of Gloucester, and sister, Lois Day wife of Walter Day of Vinalhaven, Maine. Nieces and nephews, James Silva of Florida, Christine and Toni Leigh Mondello of Maine, Tammy Sainato, Jaimie Klopotoski, Timothy Fulford, Brandon Peavey and Olivia Peavey all of Gloucester, and five great-nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind a brother-in-law, Mark Nelson of Colorado.

Mrs. Peavey was preceded in death by her husband, Howard C. Una (PEAVEY) Van Vliet passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2003, at the Bon Secours Nursing Home facility in Port Charlotte, FL, due to complications from Alzheimer's disease.

Mrs. Van Vliet moved to Manhasset in 1950 with her husband, Donald, and son, Stephen, and was a resident of Manhasset from 1950 to 1998.

She was born in Bangor, ME, in May of 1910.She graduated from Smith College in 1933 and later continued her education at Columbia University and Hofstra University. She worked for the National Girl Scouts for many years and really found her calling at Buckley Country Day School, where she taught fifth grade and tutored many subjects from 1964 to 1998. She was active in the Manhasset community and especially with the Congregational Church of Manhasset.

Her husband, Donald, passed away in February, 1987, and her younger son, Christopher, passed away in August, 1991. She moved to Port Charlotte, FL, in 1998 to be with her son, Stephen, and daughter-in-law. Her son, Stephen, and daughter-in-law, Charlotte, survive her.

Mr Peavy enjoyed all sports, especially football.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom Peavy, two brothers, Millard Hobbs and Johnny Ray Hobbs; and two sisters, Ruby Renolds and Mary Grice.

Sunrise July 2, 1956 Sunset September 6, 2010 Gloria Bernice Peavy was born in Riviera Beach, FL to the late Grant Green, Beatrice and George Gamble. She was educated in the Palm Beach County School system and graduated from Suncoast High School.

Her Christian journey started at St. John Missionary Baptist Church where she served in numerous capacities, including hospitality and usher board. In her latter years, she was a faithful member of Bible Church of God-WPB. Gloria was a caring and peaceful person. She always cared about other people more than she did herself. All of these qualities lead her into the health care industry. She loved caring for her patients and treated them like family.

Gloria was joined in holy matrimony to Hayward "Sonny" Peavy, Sr. who preceded her in death. From this union, they raised five children. She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Sandra King (Henry) Lake Worth, FL; four sons, Carlos Peavy, Daytona, FL; Tony Peavy and Hayward Peavy Jr., both Lake Park, FL; and Otavis Peavy of Century, FL. James Thomas "Tom" Peavy, 65 of Gulf Breeze, FL passed away April 4, 2007.

Tom was born in Tallahassee in 1942, to James and Blanche Peavy. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1962 and served 4 years. He married Barbara Didday in 1963. Together they raised three wonderful daughters, Janet, Cheryl and Samantha. They moved to Gulf Breeze in 1965 and Tom began working for the Gulf Breeze Post Office in 1967. He retired in 2004 after serving 37 years in Civil Service. He worked at the Transfer Station in Gulf Breeze for the past three years. His spare time was devoted to his wife and family. He loved to spend time at their farm in Georgia hunting and fishing.

Tom lived for his wife and girls. His family was everything to him. It would take you about five minutes with Tommy to figure out he married his soul mate and loved Barbara in the manner most women dream of. He would light up when his girls or grandkids were around. He loved life and enjoyed every small detail of it.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, James Thomas Peavy, Sr. and Blanche Elizabeth Peavy.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara; his daughters, Janet Carol Smith, Cheryl Lynn (Patrick Holmes) Shirey, and Samantha Leigh Peavy, all of Gulf Breeze; his sister, Carol Lynn (John Paul) Green of Macon, GA; and five grandchildren, Stephen James Smith, Christopher Lee Shirey, Nicholas Lee Wells, Jansen Thomas Wells and Max Holmes Shirey.

Pallbearers were Patrick Shirey, Stephen Smith, Christopher Shirey, Eddie Joseph, John Green, Max Finney and Duane Leifur. Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Wells, Jansen Wells and Max Shirey.

Jean M. Peavy, 70, of Cedar Glen Drive, died Jan. 9, 2004, at Florida Hospital-DeLand. A homemaker, Mrs. Peavy was born in Keysville, GA, and moved to this area in 2003 from Pine Island.

She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in DeLand. An artist who enjoyed painting, she started The Food Closet in Pine Island.

Mrs. Peavy is survived by her husband of 42 years, Clarence, one son, James Ernest of Portland, Ore., one sister, Beth Linnemann of DeLand, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

John Peavy 31, of Hudson, formerly of Brooksville, died Sunday (Jan. 22, 2006) in New Port Richey. He was born in Ocala and came to Hudson last year from Brooksville, where he lived 20 years.

He was a Marine Corps veteran and attended the Hope United Methodist Church of New Port Richey. He was a motorcycle salesman for Gulf Coast Harley-Davidson of New Port Richey and a top salesman for Ferman Automotives/Harley-Davidson stores.

Survivors include two sons, Matthew and Colton, both of Spring Hill; his father, John W., Ocala; his mother and stepfather, Kathy and Michael Guin, Pensacola; four sisters, Kristi Guid, Groveland, Monica Hall, Mandy and Jenny Peavy, all of Ocala; maternal grandmother, Nell Fallon, Ocala; paternal grandparents, Wayne and Lois Guin, Brooksville; and companion, Angel Dowty,

Lonzie L. Peavy, age 72, of Pensacola died March 8, 2004 in a Health Care Facility following a lengthy illness.

Lonzie was born in Pineapple, AL and was a graduate of Pineapple High School. He retired from Arizona Chemical, Inc. and was a member of Houser Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alconric Peavy; daughter, Ms. Helen M. Peavy; sisters, Louise Grace, Gracie (Lawyer) Stanton, Ruby (Glovan) Johnson, all of Pensacola; Alice (Claude) Patterson, Detroit, MI. and Mabel Hyde, Cincinatti, OH; mother-in-law, Etta M. Brown, Minter, AL; sister-in-law, Mamie Adams of Minter AL, and Earlene McConnico, Selma AL; brother-in-law, George (Ella) Chestnut, Baltimore, MD.

Funeral services will be 11:30 Friday, March 12, 2004 at Houser Memorial A.M.E. Zion, 710 E. Jordan St with Pastors George R. Washington of Houser Memorial A.M.E Zion and Pastor Richard L. Hines, Jr. of St. John Divine Missionary Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

He was a native of Unadilla, Ga., who came to the area from Tampa, in 1950. He was a retired worker for both Alcoma and Waverly Growers. He was a World War II Navy veteran, serving in the Mediterranean aboard the USS Little Rock. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen Peavy of Lake Wales; four daughters, Judy Buxton, Elaine Mimbs and Alison Chavis, all of Lake Wales, and Paulette Holley of Lexington, Ky.; four sons, John Peavy, Rick Peavy and Kenneth Lewis, all of Lake Wales, and Donald L. Robbins III of Oceanside, Calif.; a sister, Lavonia Fowler of Hawkinsville, Ga.; three brothers, Hendell Peavy and Marvin Peavy, both of Hawkinsville, Wendell Peavy of Valdosta, Ga.; 12 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Juanita Peavy.

Magnus DeLacy Peavy, Jr., 86 of Havana died, Tuesday, March 11, 2008.

The service was held Monday, March 17, at First Baptist Church of Havana. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 116 East 6th Avenue, Havana, Florida 32333. Charles McClellan Funeral Home in Quincy was in charge of arrangements.

Magnus DeLacy Peavy, Jr. (Pappy, M.D.) was born in Havana, Florida on July 14, 1921 to Magnus DeLacy and Elizabeth Sanders Peavy, both descendants of pioneer families. He lived on the same farm. M.D. married Virginia Skipper on September 21, 1940 and together they had four children and raised a nephew which they considered one of their own.

M.D. joined the Army and served in the South Pacific Campaign during WWII. When discharged he came back to the family farm and grew shade tobacco with his father. He was the founder of Peavy & Son Construction Company along with still running the farm. M.D. grew the last crop of shade tobacco in Gadsden County

M.D. and Virgina loved traveling with family and friends until she passed on January 13, 1988. He later married Audrey Faircloth Bassett. She preceded him in death on Nov12, 2004.

He loved his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. He would make his daily trip to Peavy and Son Construction Company to visit with all the employees that he thought a lot of. Pappy will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Havana and the Havana Lodge # 167 F & AM. He is survived by his two sons, Magnus DeLacy Peavy III (and wife, Lynda), and John Wesley Peavy (and wife, Gloria), both of Havana; two daughters, Linda Peavy Pickles, of Havana, and Sandra Peavy Harrison, of Tallahassee; a nephew, Clayton Weaver (and wife, Lisa), of Havana; two sisters, Maurice Mitchell, of Tallahassee, and Eylse Grogan, of Raleigh, N.C.; 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren; and his loyal companion, �Little Bit�.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives and sisters, Clyde Allen and Thelma Reeves; grandson, Tate Harrison; and son-in-law, Gene (Dilly) Pickles.

Marcella M. Peavy, of Wildwood, age 85, passed away on July 13, 2005. She was born in Oxford on Sep. 28, 1919 and lived in the area all of her life.

She was a homemaker; she loved fishing and flower gardening.

She is survived by her son: Henry Peavy and Roy Peavy, Jr., both of Wildwood; daughters: Mary Peavy Allen of Lake Panasoffkee; Marie Vick, Lillie Foster and Hilda Toth, all of Wildwood; brothers: J.C. and Frank Lewis, both of Summerfield, Russell Lewis of Ocala, Ted and James �Judd� Lewis, both of Oxford; 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, July 15, 2005 at Banks/Page-Theus Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2005 at Banks/PageTheus Funeral Home with Rev. Derrel Strickland officiating.

PEAVY, Mary S., 85, of Jacksonville, died on Monday, April 5, 2004. Mrs. Peavy was born in Randolph county, GA and moved to Jacksonville in 1945 from her birthplace.

She is survived by her husband, 2 sons...2 daughters, all of Jacksonville. 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

The family will received friends this evening (Tuesday) from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, the Edgewood Chapel located at 729 S. Edgewood Avenue where funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 7th. The interment will take place at Riverside Memorial Park.

She was a homemaker and a local resident since 1950. She was a member of Ferndale Church of God.

Walter Bruce Peavy, 58, of Winter Haven, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006, following a motorcycle accident.

Born March 14, 1948 in Lakeland, he moved from Arcadia to Winter Haven in 1990.

He was a construction worker, a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, and a U.S. Army Ranger with 5th Group Special Forces. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and of the Protestant faith.

Survivors include one son, Eric Peavy of Wauchula; one daughter, Kimberly Stutz of Fort Stewart, GA; and one granddaughter, Alyssa Stutz.

Memorial services were held Saturday, Sept. 2, 2006 at the Bethel Church of God in Bartow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the V.F.W. or Wings of Eagles International

Alvin Pevey Jr. died Mar.23, 2008, He was born July 1, 1926 and was a native and lifelong resident of this area.

He was a veteran of World War II having served with the U.S. Navy. He was retired from Trailways Bus Lines as a diesel mechanic and loved to hunt and fish. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Pauline Duggar Pevey of Tallahassee, and many other loving family members.

Visitation will be 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Bevis Funeral Home, Tallahassee.

Dean S. Pevey, 70, of Lake Wales, Fla., and formerly of Jacksonville, passed away Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at his sister's home in St. Petersburg, Fla.

He was born Sept. 16, 1940, in Morgan County, the son of Albert and Margaret Mason Pevey.

Surviving are one son, Dean Pevey Jr. of Austin, Texas; two daughters, Janelle Rerenes and Lauren Pevey, both of Nashua, N.H.; two grandchildren; one brother, Richard (Mary) Pevey of Jacksonville; and two sisters, Norma (John) DeOrnellas of Lincoln and Shirley Hintz of St. Petersburg, Fla. A brother, Jimmy Pevey, preceded him in death.

Dean was an over-the-road driver for the Indian River Trucking Company. He was a Navy veteran. He enjoyed flying his airplane, golfing and yard work. He was a member of a motorcycle club where he was affectionately nicknamed "Pappy."

Cremation rites have been accorded. Dean's family invites family and friends to joy them in a committal service 10 a.m. Saturday at Murrayville City Cemetery. The Rev. BEAULIEU, ROLAND E.
Husband of Harriet Peavey
ORLANDO, FL

Roland E. Beaulieu died Thursday, April 10th at his home in Orlando, Fl. He was born October 8, 1915 in Lewiston, Maine, and was 98 years old. He was Catholic. Roland's parents were Ludger and Laura Beaulieu, and he was the oldest of four children. His father died when he was ten years old, and Roland's formal education was cut short when he had to go to work to help raise his brother and two sisters.

In his early years, Mr. Beaulieu owned and operated a small sandwich shop. He later owned a successful barroom in Brunswick, Me., although he, himself, was a teetotaler. Roland became interested in harness horse racing while still a young man and began to learn all he could of the sport, which became his life's work. He became a trainer and driver of harness horses, successfully competing on the Grand Circuit, and during his long career nurtured many fine horses, some of which became world champions. Among these were Columbia George, Romalie Hanover and Skipper Walt. Mr. Beaulieu operated the Roland Beaulieu Stables, working side-by-side with his wife Blondie, and retired at Ben White Raceway in 1983.

Roland was predeceased by his parents and his wife Harriet "Blondie" (Peavey) who died in 2010, daughter of George Ivory Peavey, as well as his brother Roger of Auburn, Maine and a sister, Carmen, of Ft. Worth, Texas. He is survived by his daughters Alana "Kitty" Hutter (Robert), Apopka, FL. and Sonia Taylor, Orlando, FL. In addition, he is survived by his sister, Yvette Gousse, Sabattus, Maine, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at Carey-Hand Cox Parker Funeral Home, 1350 W. Fairbanks Ave.,Winter Park, Fla. at 1:00 PM, April 17, 2014. Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens, Apopka, Florida. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your local humane society, the ASPCA or any animal rescue group.

KIRK, GEORGE E.

ORLANDO, FL

George e Kirk 87, of Orlando, FL passed away at his home on February 23, 2011. George was born on September 15, 1923 in Bar Harbor, Maine to Ebba and Joseph L. Kirk. George was a member of the US Army, 70th Infantry Division, during WWII and served in Germany. He retired as Lt. Colonel, in the US Army Reserves.

He graduated with a Civil Engineering degree from the University Of Maine in 1952, He retired in 1977 from the Department of Transportation, August, Maine as Head of the Right of Way Division. Later, became a Civil Engineer for the City of Orlando, FL, retiring in 1989.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Bertha (Betty) (Peavey) Kirk and his beloved son, Commander George Edwin Kirk, Jr., US Navy, currently serving in Afghanistan. He also leaves one brother, Joseph N. Kirk, (Nada); several nieces and nephews; his cousin Margaret Bane of Boston, MA; and several cousins in Sweden. Memorial graveside services will be held in Bar Harbor, Maine at a later date. In lieu of flowers, it was George's request donations be made to Hospice of the Comforter, 595 Montgomery Rd, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714.
