Special Boats.
3 Yarrow : Lurcher, Firedrake, Oak (all 1912). 765 tons. Firedrake 767 tons.
- Dimensions: 262 x 25.66 x 9.5 feet.
- Guns: 2-4 inch, 2-12 pdr., 1-3 pdr. AA., 1 M.G. Tubes: 2-21 inch.
- Designed H.P. 20,000 = 32 kts. On trials Firedrake made 33.1, Lurcher 35.34 mean of 8 hrs. Oak: 32.4. Turbines: Parsons. 2 screws. Boilers: special Yarrow oil burning: oil, about 170/155 tons.
- Built to replace three boats of this class, transferred to Royal Australian Navy, and now H.M.A.S. Parramatta, Yarra and Warrego.
- Complement, 70.

1 Yarrow: Archer (1911). 775 tons. Designed H.P. 16,000 = 28 kts. Brown-Curtis turbines. Trials: Archer 30.9.
Notes.- Dimensions: Acheron, 252.25 x 26.33 x 9.25 feet; others about 246 x 25.75 x 9.33 feet. 2 screws in all. Oil fuel 182-170/158-150 tons. All Yarrow boilers.
