TOPAZE (July, 1903), AMETHYST (Nov., 1903).
- Displacement, 3000 tons.
- Complement, 290 - 300.
- Dimensions: 360 x 40 x 14.5 feet (mean, draught).
- Guns: Topaze, 12 - 4 inch, 1 - 6 pdr. AA., 2 - 3 pdr. AA., 1 - 6 pdr., 3 M.G. ; Amethyst, 2 - 6 inch, 8 - 4 inch, 2 - 3 pdr., 3 M.G. Torpedo tubes (18 inch): 2 above water.
- Armour (steel) : 2" Deck.
- Machinery: 2 sets triple expansion, except Amethyst, Parsons turbine. 2 screws.
- Boilers : Normand-Laird in Topaze, Yarrow in Amethyst. Max.
- H.P. Topaze, 9800 = 22 .2 kts. Amethyst, 12,000 = 23.4 kts. nominal.
- Coal : normal, 300 tons; maximum, 750 tons.
- Built under 1902 - 3 Estimates.
