Note.
In 1919, Minotaur, Shannon, Duke of Edinburgh, placed on Disposal List as not required for further duty with War Fleet. All to be sold at first convenient moment. Achilles reported to be Stokers' Training Ship Harbour Duty only. During the Armistice period, Cochrane stranded in the Mersey and broke in two. She was not worth salvage, and abandoned as a total wreck.
DEVONSHIRE CLASS.

CARNARVON.
- Displacement, 10,850 tons.
- Complement, 653.
- Length (over all), 473.5 feet. Beam, 68.5 feet. Maximum draught, 25.5 feet.
- Guns (2 - 11 inch anti-submarine howitzers may still be mounted in some ships): 4 - 7.5 inch, 6 - 6 inch VII, 8 - 3 pdr., 5 machine, (1 landing).
- Torpedo tubes (18 inch): 2 submerged.
- Armour (Krupp): 6" - 4.33" Belt (amidships), 2 5/8" Belt (forward), 2" Deck (aft), 4.5" Bulkheads (aft), 6" Barbettes, 7.5 - 4.5 Hoods to these, 6" Casemates, 10" Conning tower (fore).
- Machinery : 2 sets vertical triple expansion. 2 screws. Boilers, various : 17 - 15 water-tube and 6 cylindrical. Designed H.P. 20,500 (n.d.) 21,000 (f.d.) = 22.25 kts.
- Coal: normal 800 tons; maximum 1,750 tons (Carnarvon + 250 tons oil).

General Notes.-Cost, per ship, about £850,000. Built under 1901 Estimates. Argyll and Hampshire of this class lost during the war. 1919: Devonshire in Reserve; Antrim for Signals and W/T, experiments. Some of these three ships partially dismantled. Carnarvon, sea-going Training Ship for Cadets. Roxburgh for sale.

- Length over all, 463.5 feet. Beam, 66 feet. Max. draught, 25.5 feet.
- Guns: 2 - 11 inch howitzers may still be in some ships: 6 in., 45 cal., as follows: 4 in Cornwall and Cumberland, 8 in Donegal and Berwick, 10 in Lancaster, 14 in Suffolk, and (in all ships) 4 - 12 pdr., 2 - 3 pdr. (anti-aircraft), 2 or 1 machine, (1 landing).
- Torpedo tubes (18 inch): 2 submerged.
- Armour (Krupp): 4" Belt (amidships), 2" Belt (bow), 5" Bulkhead (aft), 2" Deck (aft), 4" Barbettes (H.N.), 5" Turrets to these (H.N.), 4" Casemates (10), 10" Conning tower.
- Machinery: 2 sets 4 cylinder vertical triple expansion. 2 screws. Boilers: Various-see Notes Designed H.P. 22,000 = 23 kts.
- Coal: normal 800 tolls; maximum 1,730 tons.

General Notes.-1900 Estimates. Cost about £775.000 each. Bedford, of this class, was wrecked 1910 on the China Station, Monmouth sunk in battle, off Chile, Essex, in 1919, only Harbour Depot and Accommodation Ship for Destroyers in Reserve.
