- Displacement, 3750 tons.
- Complement, 336 - 329.
- Length, (p.p.) 420. (o.a.) 446 feet. Beam, 42 feet. Draught mean 14.25 feet. max. 16.33
- Guns: 5 - 6 inch, 50 cal. (Dir. Con.); 2 - 3 inch. AA. ; 2 - 2 pdr. pom-pom ; 1 M.G.
- Torpedo tube (21 inch): 2 submerged.
- Armour (H.T.): 3" Side (amidships) ; 2.25" - 1.25" Side (bow); 2.5" - 2" Side (stern); 1" Deck (amidships) ; 1" Deck over rudder.
- Ahead: 1 - 6 in.; Broadside: 5-6 in., 1-21 in. tube. ; Astern 2 - 6 in.
- Machinery: Parsons I. R. turbines. 4 screws. Boilers: 8 Yarrow. Designed S.H.P. 40,000 = 28.5 kts.
- Fuel (oil only): normal, 300 tons; full load, 824 tons.

General Notes.-Emergency War Programme ships. When new, could make 30-32 kts. Specially well sub-divided. Submerged tubes unsatisfactory; may be replaced by twin or triple deck tubes in the future. Centaur had her bow and stern blown off by mines during War.
