Bilboa 21 May 1836 arrived from San Sebastian, and is expected to return tomorrow with Royal Marines.
At San Sebastian 7 Jul 1836 supporting the British Legion.
San Sebastian 28 Nov 1836 is reported to have been used as a tug to tow small vessels up the River Nervion to form a bridge, built by men from the Ringdove, across the river for the troops, during which the boatswin's mate was wounded. In addition, guns from the Saracen were taken ashore to provide covering fire for the bridge. It has to be said that the movement was abandoned for no apparent reason, and the boats and guns returned to their original positions. Morale appears to be low !

8 Aug 1839 Plymouth, A rumour has reached us : we cannot give credence to it. We are first assured that the Comet steamer has arrived at Plymouth, with intelligence that the civil war has ceased in Spain, entirely in favour of the young Queen Isabella
16 Aug 1840 Lieutenant George Thomas Gorden (of the Comet), promoted to the rank of Commander, for service on the coast of Spain.
16 Aug 1840 Aetna was towed round from St. Sebastian, loaded with 130 tons of Ordnance stores, to Passages, by the Comet steamer, where she was to embark 200 of the Marine Battalion, and sail for England.
28 Aug 1840 Plymouth, The Comet steamer arrived on Monday from the north coast of Spain, with marines.
11 Sep 1840 Woolwich arrived at Woolwich, from San Sebastian, on Monday, having been employed on the north coast of Spain during the last 3 years. She is wanted for immediate service, and will be ready in a few days. Mr. W. S. Hole has joined as second master since her arrival, vice Stokes, promoted.
15 Sep 1840, Lieutenant Frederick Chevalier Syer (1828), appointed from the Salamander, to command the Comet, vice Gordon, promoted.
25 Sep 1840 Woolwich, was paid wages in advance on Wednesday, but has not yet sailed,

21 Oct 1841, Portsmouth, had to run for Newhaven harbour in the late gales and arrived at Portsmouth on Wednesday, and left again on Saturday.
30 Oct 1841, Portsmouth, is visiting local ports in search of recruits.
6 Nov 1841, has arrived at Woolwich, and it is expected will be paid off while her machinery is repaired and new boilers are fitted.
