David Hawse ²

Might have been named "Daniel David".

David's move from Virginia to Ohio was a bit later than the major emigration to the south, west, and northwest that lead to a decrease in Rockingham County's population between 1830 and 1840.

David cannot be found in the 1880 or later census.

David married Elizabeth Evers, daughter of John Evers and Catherine "Katie" Showalter, on 21 Oct 1834 in Rockingham Co., Virginia.¹ (Elizabeth Evers was born on 23 Nov 1806 in Virginia,¹ died on 13 Apr 1870 ⁷ and was buried in Champaign Co., Ohio ⁴.)

Marriage recorded as "Haws", but David and Christian both signed as "Hawse". ²
