Might have had a will recorded in 1848 per <http://content.ancestry.com/iexec/?htx=BookView&ti=0&dbid=14843&iid=dvm_LocHist001138-00043-1&rc=380,348,608,396;634,345,948,410;122,531,262,592;121,599,266,681;378,787,605,846;378,853,605,913;377,914,604,968;117,1042,260,1098;116,1161,259,1223;2224,1226,2373,1283;115,1413,257,1477;115,1477,259,1533;114,1537,254,1603;114,1669,257,1751;112,1801,256,1878;112,1859,252,1920;112,1921,256,1978;109,2301,252,2365;109,2242,251,2302;108,2366,253,2429;108,2491,251,2554;105,2617,245,2680;105,2750,249,2808;103,2870,248,2933;102,2935,248,2997;103,3003,244,3086;98,3441,204,3557;98,3570,242,3629&pid=82&ssrc=&fn=leonard&ln=hinkle&st=g> Maria married Christian Haas, son of Haas and Unknown.1 2 (Christian Haas was born on 28 Oct 1752 in Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania,8 9 10 died on 12 Mar 1853 in Rockingham Co., Virginia 11 and was buried in Turley Cemetery, Turleytown, Rockingham Co., Virginia.) The cause of his death was "old age."
That Marie Margaret Hinkle was this Christian Haas's wife is speculative. One genealogy researcher reports that Christian's wife was named "Margaret". Additionally, the birth record of Christian's son, Christian, says that the mother's name was "Margaret". There is no evidence yet found that his wife was Marie Margaret Hinkle other than the mention of Christian Haus in Leonard Hinkle's will. However, the churches that they attended in Bucks Co. were only about 7 1/2 miles apart. 12 13 |
