Moved with her family to Mt. Clinton, Rockingham Co., Virginia in 1790.
The 1850 census shows "Susanna Haws" in Harrisonburg Twp., Rockingham Co., Virginia (page 047) -- 65 years old. Susan married Christian "Chrisley" Haas Jr., son of Christian Haas and Maria Margaret Hinkel, on 20 Apr 1809 in Rockingham Co., Virginia.1 (Christian "Chrisley" Haas Jr. was born on 27 Oct 1784 in Springfield Twp., Bucks Co., Pennsylvania 5 6 7, baptized on 5 Dec 1784 in Trinity Union Lutheran Church, Springfield Twp., Bucks Co., Pennsylvania,8 9 died on 14 Nov 1872 in Brush, Rockingham Co., Virginia 10 11 and was buried in Reedy Family Cemetery, Linville, Rockingham Co., Virginia 12.) The cause of his death was paralyses.
Susannah Bowman is reported to have been Christian Hause's first cousin once removed. That would be the case if Christian Haas Sr. and Magdalena Hass where siblings. 2 |
