Elizabeth ROBERTS and Joshua Hamlet GREGORY
Elizabeth Roberts met her husband not long after he arrived in New Zealand in 1845. Joshua Hamlet GREGORY was part of the 96th Regiment, which he had joined in Manchester.
Joshua had previously been in Tasmania where he, as part of the Regiment, supervising convicts.
They spent some time in India where the 96th regiment was posted. He was discharged from the 96th Regiment in 1854

One of the original cottages they lived in was on the corner of Wynn and Ann St in Fortitude Valley. This is opposite the old Post Office (2005)
Both are buried at Toowong Cemetery
