TAYLOR, Anthony, feltmaker, Hampton, a young man with the first-comers. The new 'Banks Topographical Dict.' names Cobham, co. Surrey, in connec. with him, but imposs. to tell whether a positive identification or a good clue. He sold Hampt. land to John Legate in 1642, the first of many transactions. O.A. 1648. signed the pet. in fav. of Robert Pike. Tav. lic. 1654. O.F. 1655. Selectman 1658, 1666, 1670, 1682; fence viewer 1660; j. 1665, 1675, 1676, 1678; gr.j. 1679, 1680. Dismissed from milit. training and watches 1686. Prison keeper 1668, 1672-4, constable 1673, on special enforcement committee 1677. O.A. to Mass. 1678.
