This is St. John The Evangelist Church in Killingworth, England. My great-great grandmother, Margaret Bambrough Clark is buried here (1846-1907), as her name appears in the church cemetery book. This is the church that was damaged by German bombers in the war as they were trying to destroy the shipyards on the Tyne River. A line of bombs fell across Killingworth and the last two fell into the graveyard and damaged headstones from 1900 to 1934 along with blowing a hole in the vestry of the church, which caught fire and destroyed burial records.
