I remember him with a smile today
As my eyes well up with tears
I reflect upon the  memories
Of all the happy years
Recall to mind the way he spoke
And all the things he said
His strength, his stance, the way he walked
The hard work that he did.

The good advice he'd give us
His eyes that shone with laughter
So much of him will never die
But live on forever after
As we loved you, so we miss you
In our memory you are near
Loved, remembered, longed for always
Bringing many a silent tear.

A special smile, a special face,
And in our hearts a special place
No words we speak can ever say
How much we miss you everyday
To hear your voice and see you smile,
To sit and talk to you awhile

To be together in the same old way
Would be our dearest wish today

The rolling stream of life rolls on,
But still the vacant chair
Recalls the love, the voice, the smile
Of the one who once sat there.

The flowers we place upon your grave,
May wither and decay,
But love for you who sleeps beneath,
Will never fade away.
A little tear falls from my eye
I swallow hard, try not to cry

Our family circle has been broken,
A link gone from our chain;
But though we're parted for awhile,
We know we'll meet again.

George Klimczak February 1928 - January 1996
I started my genealogy after my dad passed away.  I never asked him about his parents.  I wasn't interested then.  They died before I was born.   I think he would really get a kick out of what I have found, especially the fact that I am writing to my Polish cousins in the village where his mother  was born, as well as his father's family in Poland, which nobody here even knew existed !  This discovery has led to numerous photos of my ancestors and additional family information.  What a wonderful treat it has been, and I am sad that my dad is not here to share it with me.
