Eddy, Arzella Simpson
Arzella Eddy, 79, of Bonnerdale died Friday, December 14, in a local hospital.
Eddy and her husband, L. C. Eddy, were the original builders and owners, for 35 years, of Buena Vista resort. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church and a housewife. She was preceded in death by her husband and her son, Forrest Eddy.
Survivors include one brother, Charlie Simpson of Hot Springs; three grandchildren, Cheryl Pawlosky of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Karen Dease of Longview, Texas, and Michelle Dunn of Hot Springs; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services are at 10 a.m. Monday at the Hot Springs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Dease officiating.
Pallbearers are Brian Dunn, Bob Verville, Richard Robinson, the Rev. A. J. Simpson, Doyle Simpson and Dale Simpson.
Honorary pallbearers include Drs. David Rogers and R. Schroff, Harry Keaton, Don Schnipper and the nursing staff of the third floor east wing of St. Joseph's Regional Health Center.

Ellis, James Alexander "Jim"
The death angel visited the home of Frank Ellis at Mankins, Texas, June 15, taking his loving brother Jim Ellis. He was 26 years, 11 months, and one day old being born July 14, 1898. He was born and raised in Pulaski County near Halstead, till about 16 years ago. His father, F. P., or Pierce Ellis, died 11 years ago. He married Ida Willis of Benton, 7 years ago. He is survived by his wife and 2 small children Margaret, 4 years and Troy, age 2 years, one baby, Geraldine, who was called to her heavenly home 5 years ago. Also survived by his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Burnett of Little Rock, R-7, and his wife's mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Willis of North Benton. Sisters.--.Mrs. W. L. England, John Alexander Jr.
Jessieville - John Alexander England, 95, of Jessieville, died Saturday, October 16, 1999, at his home.
Born November 30, 1903, in Saline County, he was a member of Old Marble Missionary Baptist Church. He was predeceased by his wife, Anne England; and his parents, John and Sarah Curtis England.
Survivors include one son, Harold "Pete" England of Jessieville; one daughter, Glenda Cockman, Jessieville; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Old Marble Baptist Church with Elder Jimmy Dale Johnson officiating.
Pallbearers will be Bob Rice, Ronnie Hunter, Bill Cockman, Jr., Britt Cockman, Howard Johnson and Loren Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers are Raymond Johnson, Alvin Shaw, Arvist Curtis, Earl Casey and Albert Newkirk.
Burial will be in Talley Cemetery.

Ewell, Dora Gardenhire
Mrs. Dora Gardenhire Ewell, aged 67, of Benton died Sunday. She was a member of the Owensville Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband Frank Ewell.
