Cline, Mrs. Jacob M. (Sumner, Eliza Jane)
Mrs. Eliza Cline died August 14, ____ at the
Schnieder Rest Home in Eldon. Eliza Jane Sumner was born March 25,
1872, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Alfonzo Sumner who lived on Wilson
Bend on the Osage River. On January 7, 1874 she was married to Jacob
M. Cline and of this union one daughter, Eva Cline, was born. Mrs.
Cline was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, daughter and a
brother Marshall Warren Sumner. For 12 years Mrs. Cline made her
home with Mrs. Virginia Mefford. In recent weeks, it was necessary
that she be placed in a rest home. She was a member of the Versailles Methodist
Church.
Funeral services were held at the Kidwell Funeral Home
with the Rev. E.D. Watkins officiating. Hymns: Mrs. Gene Bartram
accompanied by Mrs. Lloyd Collins. Pallbearers were: Don Hunter,
Hugh Hart. L.M. Earnest. George E. Clodfelter, Clyde Henderson, all of
Versailles, and Henry Cartwright of Sedalia. Interment was in the
Versailles cemetery.
