Otten Mrs J.M. (Bowman, Lillie Catherine)
     Lillie Catherine Bowman Otten, daughter of Fred K and Alcinda J. Bowman was born Jan 14, 1873 in the Prairie View community northeast of Versailles.  Che was the oldest child in a family of 7 children.  She married James Marion Otten November 23, 1893; to that union 2 sons M.S. Otten, Versailles and Wm. Otten, Salisbury were born.  Preceded in death by her husband and 1 sister.  Survived by 2 sons; 3 brothers: Sam & Dan Bowman of McFarland Calif and Ben Bowman of El Monte, Calif; 2 sisters: Mrs. Jennie Lehman of Delano Calif and Mrs. Dora Gibson of Burk Burnett Texas; 2 grandchildren: Mrs. Garvis Searcy of Versailles and Mrs. Dale Dean of Holt's Summit Mo.
     Attending the funeral were: Mr. & Mrs. Wm Otten (Salisbury); Mr. & Mrs. Dale Dean & son Randy (Holt's Summit); mr. & Mrs. F.M. Witten, Mr & Mrs. E.C. Loyd, Mr. & Mrs. Frank Otten & John Otten all of Kansas City; Mr & Mrs. Murp Marriott, Macks Creek, MO and Mr & Mrs C.M. Carter of Salisbury, Mo.
