Medicus, B.L.
     B.L. Medicus a resident of Verailles since 1935 when he and Mrs. Medicus came here from Knasas City, passed away at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City on March 28, 1951 of a heart attack.  He was 63 years old.  A son of Richard and Effie Medicus, he was born in Kansas City Mo on Sept 8, 1888.  He attended the schoold there, and later became a registered pharmacist.  For many years he operated his own drug business in Kansas City.  He was married to Miss Myra Hecox in Kansas City on Oct 28, 1921.  She, together with two brothers: Oliver Medicus of Gardena Calif and Leslie of Kansas City survive.  Mr Medicus was a veteran of World War I and a member of American Legion Post #104.  He was coroner of Morgan county.  He was also Police JUdge for teh city.  The funeral was held at the Methodist church with the Rev. Fristone officiating.  Interment in the Versailles cemetery.
