Martin, Lucy
Miss Lucy Martin, who was identified with the Martin Hotel since her birth, would have been 90 years had she lived until December 23, 1953.  A daughter of the late Samuel & Elizabeth Gray Martin was born December 23, 1864 in Versailles, Missouri.  When her father died June 13, 1906 she took over active management of the Martin Hotel.   Her mother died March 28, 1931.  She died in 1953.  funeral services were held in the Versailles Methodist Church with the Rev. J.L. Freeman officiating. Interment was in the Versailles cemetery under the direction of Kidwell Funeral Home.
