Kays, John James
John James Kays, a lifelong resident of Morgan
coutny, passed away at the state hospital in Fulton Mo on Dec 10, 1950.
He was a son of Nathan W. and Judith Ann Kays, born at Barnett on Sept
25, 1888. On May 14, 1911 he was married to Neva B. Madole who survives.
To them were born 5 children: Mrs. Hazel Kays and Mrs. Marguerite Dyer
of California, MO, Mrs. Fern Hodges and Dean Kays of Versailles and Ross
Kays, stationed at Fort Leonard Wood. Also 1 brother: Joe Kays, Barnett;
2 sisters: Mrs. Jennie Winebrenner of Kansas City and Mrs. Belle Jobe of
Latham. He was a farmer and united with Big Rock Church.
Funeral services were held at the Big Rock Church with
the Rev. Lloyd Sapp officiating. Burial at the Big Rock cemetery under
the direction of the Kays Funeral Home of Eldon.
