Jeffries, Elbert Harrison
   Elbert Harrison Jeffries, 79, a resident of Versailles since 1932 died April 21, 1957.  He was the son of Sanford and Mary Rinard Jeffries, born Sept 23, 1878. He married Lula Mitchell on April 15, 1914, who survives.  Mr & Mrs. Jeffries werein business in Enon Missouri for 18 years before moving to Versailles.  In Versailles they owned and operated a feneral store for 14 years, retiring in 1946.  Other than his wife, he is survived by one sister: Mrs. Cora Huddleston of Jefferson City; one step-sister: Mrs. Delia Degraffenried of Kaiser Missouri; nieces and nephews.
   Funeral servidces were held at the First Baptist Bhurch with the Rev. N.E. Williams officiating.  Pall bearers wereL L.U. Aeschbacher, L.C. Jones, A.J. Sims, James Mitchell, Gail Kidwell and Truman Miller.  Interment was in the Versailles cemetery under the direction of Kidwell Funeral Home.
