Robert Jackson Hibdon, 50, died July 25, 1983 at an Independence hospital.  he was born August 18, 1932 the son of Robert and Eva Pruvis who survive.  On February 25, 1952 he married Shirley Beth Chipley who survives of the home.  Mr. Hibdon, formerly of Laurie, was a mechanic with Trans World Airlines in Kansas City.  He was a member of the Machinist Union 1650, VFW Post 1000, Independence and Ozark Chapel United Methodist Church of Laurie.  We was in Company F. 148th Infantry Regiment, 148 the Regimental Combat Team.  Other survivors include: 1 son: William V. Hibdon of Independence; 1 daughter Sheila Saxon of Independence; 2 sisters: Carolyn Burks of Kansas City and Sharon Washburn of Rogers Oklahoma and one grandson.
   Services were held at the Ozark Chapel Church with the Rev. Fred Royer officiating. Burial in the Church cemetery under the direction of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home.
