Bert Elerwine died November 12, 1953, son of Ebenezier and Lydia Payne Erlewine was born in Senard nebraska, November 16, 1892. He was 61 years, 11 months and 16 days old at the time of death.  At age 16 he enlisted in the US Army and served With the american Expeditionary Froces in France. a member of CompanyA 356th Inf. Reg. 89th Div.  He married Miss Helen Bryte in Levanworth Kansas on June 12, 1926.  He was preeded in death by his father and mother; 3 brothers: Willard of Nevada missorui, Charles of the state of California and John of Kansas City; 3 sisters: Mrs. Martha Pollard of Enid Oklahoma, Mrs. Florence Peters of Melton and Mrs. Emma Pollock of Denver colorado.  He is survived by his wife, Helen and nieces and nephers.
  Services were held at the Christian Church with the Rev. J.L. freeman officiating.  Interment was in the Versailles cemetery under the direction of Kidwell Funeral Home
