   John Monroe Earp, postmaster and publisher died August 31 ____. He was born February 18, 1882 near Linn Creek in Camden county a son of James and Sarah Kelly Earp, who preceded him in death many years ago.  On June 20, 1920 he married Maurine Daniels of Versailles, they had one daughter: Ann, now Mrs. Russell Hall Jr..  following the death of Mrs. Earp's father, Samuel Daniels, one of the founders of the Versailles Leader in 1924, Mr. and Mrs. Earp and Ann returned to Versailles taking over publication and editorial direction of the Leader.  Other than his wife and daughter: Ann, he is survived by a son: John M. Earp Jr who was born December 22, 1935; 3 sisters: Mrs. Joe V. Foster of Camdenton, Mrs. Charles Thompson of Portland Oregon, and Mrs. Dan Caster of El Centro California; one brother: Virgil Earp of Ridgecrest California; 1 nephew: Claud Wuard now living in Ohio who was reared in the Earp home.  Also "Aunt Carrie" Harrison, a sister of Mrs. Earp's mother; Mrs. Sallie Baker, widow of A.G. Baker, lived in the Earp home for years and Annie Lewis Daniels now Mrs. Louis Payton of Sedalia and a sister of Mrs. Earp, was a member of the family circle until her marriage in 1939.
   Funeral services at the Versailles Christian Church with the Rev. J.L. Freeman officiating. Interment in the Versailles cemetery under the direction of Kidwell Funeral Home.
