Mrs. J.L. Dunnaway, 71, died at the family home in Versailles April 27, 1955.  She was born in Morgan county October 3, 1884, the daughter of the late Joseph and Eliza Roe.  She married J.L. Dunnaway December 23, 1903.  They were the parents of 15 children of which 6 preceded her in death.  She was a member of the Versailles Christian Church since 1938.  She is survived by 9 children: Mrs. Howard Barker of Eldon, Mrs. Charley Messerli of Council Bluffs Iowa, Everett and J.L. Dunnaway Jr. and Mrs. Ray Shuldberg all of Ontario California, Henry  of Baldwin Park California, Neva of Oakland California, Nora Maude of Anchorage Alaska and Claude of Versailles.   She also leaves 1 sister: Mrs. Maude Routon of Otterville; 1 brother: Dorsey Roe of Camdenton; 24 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
  Funeral services were held at the Christian Church with the Rev. J.L. Freeman and the Rev. Nelson Sachs officiating. Interment in the Versailles cemetery under the direction of Kidwell Funeral Home.
