THREE PERSONS DROWNED IN SALINE CREEK, SUNDAY, JULY 15, 1923
    Laudie Vance Henderson was born October 7, 1888.  He was married to Adah Elizabeth Duby, June 30, 1915.  To them were born two children,  Virginia Lee, 6 years old, and Freda Lovena, 2 years old.
      Adah Elizabeth Duby Henderson was born in Fayette County, Iowa,  June 10, 1895.
     Enah Esther Duby was born in Fayette County, Iowa, January 1, 1894 and was married to A. H. Hagens, March 6,1912.  To them one child was born, Ralph Lorenza, 10 years old.
       The three met their death Sunday, July 15, by drowning at the mouth of Saline Creek in Miller county.
       Those of the immediate family, who are left to mourn the untimely death of these loved ones are the parents of Mrs. Henderson and Mrs. Hagens, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Duby, of Route 2, Eldon, three sisters,  Mrs. G. A. Buchanan, of Kansas City;  Mrs. J. M. Osburn, of Kansas City;  Mrs. Fred Lawbaugh, of Eldon, and one brother Leonard Duby of Eldon.
    Mr. Henderson leaves one brother, C C Henderson, of Eldon, and one sister Mrs. William James, of Beaumont, Texas.
    Funeral services were conducted at the home of Mr. A H Hagens by Rev.  J. K. O"Heeron, pastor of the Christian Church, after which the three bodies were laid to rest in the Eldon Cemetery.
