Henry Penn Dickson, 80, Gravois Mills, died
Sunday January 8, 1989 at home. He was born November 17, 1908 in
Tebbetts, a son of the late Arthur D. and Ethie Boyd Dickson. He
married Marilyn Venable, who survives on November 9, 1929 in Excelsior
Springs. He was employed by the Kansas City Term. Railroad at Union
Station from Sept 12, 1926 until his retirement on February 18, 1972.
He was a member of the h Brotherhood of Railroad Clerks, the Kent Memorial
Lutheran Church at Sunrise Beach, AARP and the Over 55 Club. In addition
to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters: Beverly Finley of Fort Smith
Arkansas and Barbara Howe of Sedalia and 4 grandchildren: Mona Sue Finley
of Ft. Lauderdale Florida, Matthew Penn Finley of Ft. Smith Arkansas, Debra
Lynn Gerrish of Sedalia and David Wayne Howe of Kansas City.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday January
12, 1989 at Kent Memorial Lutheran Church with Rev. James Trutwin
officiating. Casket Bearers were: David Howe, Matthew Finley, Randy Gerrish,
Wayne Dority, Tom Howe and Glen Dickson. Graveside services 2 p.m.
Wednesday at Highland Sacred Gardens Cemetery in Sedalia. Interment Following.
