Horace M. Davenport, 75, of California Missouri, died Tuesday July 22, 1980.  He was
born May 28, 1905 in Versailles, a son of Charles and Tennessee Hibdon Davenport.  He
was married to Carrie McGinnis who died in 1946.  On December 1947 he married Ida
Stepp who survives at the home.  A retired farmer, he was a member of the Pentecostal
Church of God at California.  Other survivors include 13 sons: Ray Davenport, Roy
Davenport and Russell Davenport all of Ukiah California, Kenneth Davenport, Ross
Davenport and Bill Davenport all of Eureka California, Donald Davenport of St. Cloud
Minnesota; Larry Richards of Columbia; Darrel Davenport of Marshall; Harold Davenport
of Tipton; Phillip Davenport of California Mickey Davenport and Randy Davenport both
of the home; 4 daughters: Mrs. Jessie Beck and Mrs. Sallie Dorsey of Jefferson City, Mrs.
Patsy Kremer and Mrs. Betty Dorsey both of Kansas City; 1 brother: Herman Davenport
of the state of Oregon; 2 sisters: Mrs. Cecil Smith and Mrs. Hartley Sidebottom, both of
California; 2 step-children: Mrs. Margaret Willis of Beaufort and Charles McGinnis of
Latham; 41 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
   Funeral services will be held at Kidwell Garber funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald
Willis officiating. Burial in Versailles cemetery.
