Collins, Mrs. Anderson (Merriott, Sarah J.)
   Mrs. Sarah J. Collinss born September 24, 1854 and died May 18, 1922 at age 68 years 7 months 3 weeks and 3 days.  She was a daughter of Nicholas C & Elizabeth Merriott and the wife of Anderson Collins who preceded her in death. At the age of sixteen she was married to Anderson Collins. They had 7 children, one dying in infancy and those living are: Mrs. Maggie Cohchran, wife of E.W. Cochran of El Dorado Kansas, Mrs. Ollie Hall of Baldwin Kansas Mrs. Nora Campbell of Drumwright Oklahoma, Mrs. Melissa Webser and Mrs. Bertha Fish having preceded her. Besides her 4 children and one little granddaughter: Lola Fish, whom she raised; 5 sisters and 1 brother as follows: Mrs. Josephine Merriott of Wanwatese Wisconsin, Victoria Cash and Oma M. Renkin of Kansas City Missouri, Hannah M Gibbs of Springfield Missouri, Mrs. John Silvey of Jefferson City and Charles G. Marriott of Gravois Mills Mo.; 18 grandchildren..
   Funeral services at home in Gravois Mills conducted by Rev. Broyles of Ritchie. Interment by her husband in Ivy cemetery. {Anderson was Adolphus R. Collins son}}
