Clara Elizabeth May, 89, of Versailles died Thursday evening, August 25, 1988 at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home.  She was born on July 19, 1899, in Tilden Nebraska, daughter of the late Paul and Johanna Rethwich Christiansen.  On January 3, 1928 at Neligh Nebraska she married Cary May, who survives .  She was a member of the Methodist Church.  She also leaves 1 son: Robert May of Buffalo Wyoming; 1 daughter: Mrs. Donald (Joan) Siegal of Fortuna; 2 sisters: Etta Wilkinson and Ellen Reikofski both of Tilden Nebraska; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one daughter two brothers one sister and one granddaughter.
   Funeral at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 28 in the Scrivener Chapel with the Rev. Allen Finlkey officiating.   Pall Bearers were: Jim Siegal, Brent Humphrey, Robert May, Donald Siegal, Andy Myers and Donald Metcher.  Murrill Wommac k sang. Interment in the Stover cemetery.
