Linny C. Capps, 70, Stover, died at
Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia Monday morning, March 19, 1979, where he had
been a patient since March 4th after suffering a hear attack. He
was born in Proctor in Morgan county on August 29, 1908, son of the late
Lindsey and Mary Jane Quick Capps. Mr. Capps was married January
22, 1931 at Stover to the former Miss Hester Leona Davenport who survives
of the home. Mr. Capps had spent his entire life in Morgan county.
He was in the timber business. In addition to his wife he also leaves
2 sons: Linney Capps Jr. and Louis William Capps, both of Stover; 2 daughters:
Mrs. Loretta Hankins of Sedalia and Mrs. Elwonda Santiago of Colorado Springs
Colorado; 3 sisters: Mrs. Edith Luvin and Mrs. Ella Allen both of Stover
and Mrs. Stella Marqus of Seymour; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was also preceded in death by 3 brothers: Clarence, Charley and Dink
Capps; 2 sisters: Ollie and Minnie and 1 grandson.
Funeral services at the Scrivner Chapel with the
Rev.. George Smith, pastor of West Side Assembly of God in Sedalia officiating.
Pallbearers: Neil Capps, Earnest Sutton, Robert Capps, Roy Luvin, Lloyd
Marqus and Fred Stamps. Interment in the Stover cemetery
