Clark E. Bias died at home 6 miles south of Versailles, July 30, 1951.  He was born March 6, 1863 in Henderson county, Illinois.  He came to Missouri when he was 19 years of age.  On March 20, 1887 he married Miss Jennie Hasty, of this union 9 children were born, 2 of whom: Quincy and Waldo, preceded their father in death.  He is survived by his wife: Jennie; 3 sons: Franklin and Ralph of Versailles and Woodrow of Kansas City; 4 daughters; Mrs. Zona McGinnis, Mrs. Willie Hayes, Mrs. Hy Johnson and Mrs. Poe Bush; 40 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters: Mrs. George Sidebottom of Versailles, Mrs. Frank Bitters and Mrs. Frank Waters of Jefferson City.
   Funeral services held at the Versailles Methodist Church with the Rev. Robinson of Cole Camp officiating.  Interment in the Versailles cemetery under the direction of Kidwell Funeral Home.
